KOOLA art space

KOOLA Art Space is an artist-run, non-profit, multidisciplinary venue for art and culture managed by Taidetila KOOLA ry. Our space is located in the Kallio district of Helsinki. The association’s mission is to promote cultural diversity and artistic expression, and to make art and culture accessible to a broad and diverse audience. The association organizes free cultural and art events, as well as performances and exhibitions, thereby supporting the diversity of the Finnish art and cultural scene and promoting accessibility to art and culture.

KOOLA Art Space offers affordable and accessible exhibition space for young and emerging artists, international artists working in Finland, and artists belonging to minorities, as well as organizes workshops and training sessions. All our exhibitions are free for visitors. We also organize workshops and other events.

Our goal is to promote cultural diversity, make diverse and high-quality art available to varied audiences, and offer both young and emerging artists, as well as those who have worked in the field longer, an opportunity to showcase their work.

Supporting membership in the association is free of charge for professional artists. Artists who have participated in exhibitions at Taidetila KOOLA are accepted as members without a separate application process. Applications are accepted year-round. Read more here.
