Making Lemonade

Making lemonade- exhibition is an energetic and genuine interpretation of the more beautiful side of life. It is joyful and full of various color juxtapositions; light and shadow. The scent of flowers and fruits we can delight in. Black charcoal and pastel-toned acrylic paints on canvas create contrast, giving the works a personal painting style and bold use of line. The exhibition is inspired by life and its small nuances, festive moments, and the coming spring. It is also a reminder that even from the darker moments of our lives, we can create something beautiful.

About the Artist

My greatest passion and hobby is painting boldly on large canvases and various surfaces. I paint with acrylics and often also use charcoal and oil pastels in my work. As a base, I use linen or cotton canvases. Sometimes I also paint on paper. I’m most drawn to works filled with tones, juicy color combinations, and a personal painting style. There are touches of romanticism in my artistic style. I’m fascinated by the elements and colors of nature—flowers and forests, meadows and cliffs, seas and our thousands of lakes. I’m deeply inspired by the color palette offered by the seasons, and the subjects and tones of my work often go hand in hand with all of this.

Alongside our realistic world, I also have a rich inner world that I try to reach and express through my art, just as I experience and feel it. For me, art is above all a powerful form of self-expression, an opener of emotions, and a therapeutic path to self-reflection. Art is also fun, joyful, and experimental—it empowers me and lifts my spirits, offering a personal space where I can be completely free.

Everyday life and its subtle nuances are often the starting points for my art and for the birth of new ideas and themes. As a mother of two small children, I find something fun and positive in each day, and I feel full of life’s radiant energy. However, as a counterbalance to all the good, I have also had to witness the darker shades of life, which have helped me grow, creating an awareness of life’s fragility and the limits of our inner resources. I’ve had the chance to grow and develop on the path of adulthood, which has taught me to prioritize the needs and desires of others over my own. My art helps me cope with everyday life, with its joys and sorrows. It allows me to process life’s moments both physically and mentally, releasing that hidden part of me that I might not otherwise be able to express in words.
