Olga Minasyan
Artistic influence has been a part of my family for generations, beginning with the poetry written by one of my grandfathers. I have spent my life surrounded by creativity, pursuing passions such as painting and iconography, and developing a deep interest in artists, their techniques, and fine art in general.
After moving from Russia to Malta ten years ago, I became fascinated by photography, which later led me to explore drawing as a way to express my emotions and inner world. Building on this, I gradually expanded into painting as a natural progression of my artistic journey.
For the past several years, I have been living in Cyprus, where I have attended art classes regularly for over five years. Through this experience, I have continued to refine my skills and study both classical and modern painting techniques. I now feel confident in my artistic abilities and enjoy experimenting with a variety of media — from acrylics and watercolour to tempera — though oil painting remains my favourite.
Some of my artworks are part of private collections in Cyprus, Latvia, Russia, Serbia, and the United Kingdom. I have also taken part in numerous exhibitions and actively seek new ways to share and promote my art, including participating in competitions.

Joonas Sirviö
I am a versatile visual artist whose work combines acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints, as well as ink and colored pencils. My art draws inspiration from nature and people—subjects that reflect emotions and experiences, often through abstraction. I strive to create works that evoke a sense and space where the viewer’s mind can move freely.
Drawing is an essential part of my creative process and often serves as the starting point for my works. I have received my education in Finland, Ireland, and Spain, and this international background has enriched my artistic expression and perspective.
I have exhibited my work widely in both solo and group exhibitions in Finland, Ireland, and Spain. My pieces are included in private and public collections in these countries.
More of my work can be seen on my website.

KiA Winqvist
KiA Winqvist primarily works with acrylic painting, occasionally incorporating mixed media. Her works are like visual diary pages, capturing memories, emotions, and layers of life through a subtle color palette and considered composition. Winqvist’s painting process is deliberate and prolonged, resulting in pieces that invite viewers to reflect and form their own interpretations.
Winqvist is a member of the Turku Artists’ Association, and her works have been exhibited in numerous shows across Finland and abroad.

Antti-Johan Kettunen
I am a product designer working in the field of design. Alongside my professional design work, I create ceramic art. I began my studies at the Kuopio Academy of Design in 2004 and returned to working with ceramics in 2021. I currently work in a ceramics studio in Töölö, and my works are inspired by the world around me — most often by nature.

Jasmin Lier
Jasmin Lier / J.L (b. 1988), is a visual artist living and working in South Karelia, Finland. She specializes in photography, where personal experience, embodiment, and the relationship with nature intertwine with broader social themes. In her work, Lier uses natural light and a monochromatic palette to capture subtle sensitivities and bring forward what often remains unseen.
In Lier’s photographs, the personal expands into universal narratives, allowing the private to become shared and collectively understood. Her works are characterized by a precise and contemplative gaze that seeks quiet moments, vulnerability, and presence.
Lier graduated as a visual artist from LAB University of Applied Sciences in 2023 and is currently deepening her expertise through Master’s studies in Public Art (YAMK).

Taru Saxelin
I am a visual artist working primarily with large-scale mixed media pieces. My work explores moments of transition — those fleeting, charged spaces where something is shifting but the outcome remains uncertain. These thresholds between the known and the unknown are where my practice takes shape.
I often work in layers, both materially and conceptually, using texture and scale to reflect the emotional complexity of these liminal states. My current practice focuses on two interconnected themes. One body of work explores internal transformation — the tension that exists before change fully takes form.

Kirsi Montell
Kirsi Montell is a visual artist and art educator (MA) based in Helsinki. She works primarily with acrylic painting, cyanotype, and intaglio printmaking and her practice is rooted in an intuitive and experimental approach to materials and techniques. Montell’s use of color is often layered and vibrant, blending abstract and representational forms.
Her imagery draws from a dreamlike and playful visual world, where everyday elements dissolve into surreal and symbolic landscapes. Influences appear from sources such as Greek mythology, garden visits, literature, and popular culture. Her works evoke memories and capture moments that feel unreal yet strangely familiar.

Sif Smith
Smith is fascinated by the contrast between living and dead material. What is it that creates life, and where do we come from? How does one become human?
She likes to say that she paints human-like figures. She doesn’t like to call them anything else. Her figures are organic in shape, perspective and sizes. As if taken from a dream, one cannot trust one's own perspective. Other objects may well be larger or smaller, and figures dreamy, judgmental and fluttering. They confront one with wonder – and perhaps they may resemble something from a nightmare. And yet they are not. What makes us humans is not only body and form, but also the state of mind. An `I´ in the world to be explored. An ever-ongoing transformation.

Elina Honkanen
I´m a visual artist from Helsinki working in the field of jewelry and objects. A lot of my work focuses on themes such as memories, remembering and the fickle essence of existence. My works are effected by the thoughts of shape shifting, change and disappearing. I like to use familiar shapes and forms, for me they symboloize the fragile concept that is human life.
With my series of works After us I´ve been thinking about the end of the world. The series contains pieces that are hybrids of flora and fauna, part plants and part bones. With their pale white essence they speak a quiet language of sorrow and longing. Somewhere there is still hope to be found, the shy flowers are blooming and waiting for the light to come.

Eeva Honkanen
Eeva Honkanen is a visual artist whose medium is marker pen on paper. The diversity of the contemporary world, in which there is no single truth, has always guided her artistic practice. In her works, Honkanen combines personal and historical imagery through surreal juxtapositions. Although the drawings explore the distanced relationship between humans and other species, they are at the same time a tribute to people and to the diversity of nature. Honkanen’s works have recently been exhibited at, among others, the Finlandia Art Gallery in Hancock, USA, the Turku Art Museum, and the Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art.

Satu Karhumaa

They hail from the worlds of experimental music, writing from the margins and ceramics. They get inspired by things and places subsurface, forgotten and neglected, as well as trying to understand how the human species behaves and thinks, creating their own strange interpretations of the world around them.

Monica Väre
Monica Väre (b. 1994, FI) is a visual artist and printmaker. While printmaking has traditionally enabled the creation of editions, the cornerstone of Väre’s practice is the making of unique images. She is particularly fascinated by monotype—its unrepeatable nature and immediacy.
Väre’s imagery does not arise from singular themes or sudden sparks of inspiration. Instead, it emerges through the act of making: through touch, observation, and looking. Every movement, impression, and layer of color presents a new opportunity to discover images that could not exist without the experience of the process itself. Her works are built from subtle gestures, delicate nuances, and changes that unfold layer by layer.

Robert Ra
Robert Ra is a multidisciplinary queer artist based in Helsinki. Born in India and raised by a hippie parent across various Asian countries, their early years were shaped by homelessness and poverty, alongside the political complexities tied to family’s origins in Russia, Ukraine, and “Israel”. These experiences attuned them early on to instability and precarity, both personal and political. The absence of safety from childhood continues to resonate into adulthood, leading them to focus on the confrontation of trauma while reflecting on systemic structures of power, not only in life but also in their art.

Sofia Simelius
Helsinki-based ceramic artisan and artist Sofia Simelius works with clay with the precision of an explorer and the affection of everyday life. At the core of her practice are space and emotion. She studies clay as a material—its plasticity, resistance, and receptiveness; how it shapes, reacts, and records touch.
